After having to skip last month's bird dog training due to high humidity and heat index over 100 F, we were compensated by a spectacular training day in July. The fields looked amazing, dense vegetation and high sorghum fields, everything very lush and on top of that we were blessed with wonderful weather and fall-like temperatures, a real treat for Georgia in July.
We arrived at 7:15 a.m. and started with just a run through the fields, hunting up the occasional quail here and there. Then we spent about 1.5 hours at the pond.
